Prof. A. A. Kilishi is a Professor of Institutional Economics, at the Department of Economics, University of Ilorin. Prof. Kilishi is also a visiting professor at Hilltop Academy, Ibadan. He was an adjunct lecturer at Kwara State University Malete between 2012 to 2022. He bagged B.Sc. degree in Economics from University of Ilorin, 2003, M.Sc. and   Ph.D. degrees in Economics from University of Ibadan in 2007 and 2012. Prof. Kilishi was a Ph.D. research fellow of African Economic Research Consortium (AERC) between 2009 – 2012 and research fellow of the African Development Bank (AfDB) in 2016. His Ph.D. Thesis worn the 2013 Nigerian Economic Society Best Ph.D. Thesis Prize Award, he was also awarded the Young African Scholar Award by African Econometrics Society (AES) in 2011. Kilishi was equally awarded a Fellowship Program in Advanced Development Economics, and Panel Data Econometrics in STATA, Organized by ISSER, Accra, Ghana, and Ruhr-University of Bochum, Germany

He has held different administrative positions such as undergraduate academic adviser, post-graduate coordinator, member university research managers, member senate committee of prize, deputy director, Unilorin Consultancy Services, Assistant Chairman, University Ceremonials Committee, and Head of Department (HOD). Kilishi has supervised over 25 M.Sc. students. He has published several articles in peer review local, national and international journals, chapters in books and has presented papers at conferences within and outside Nigeria such as USA, Kenya, Uganda, Ghana and Egypt.

Prof. Kilishi facilitated several training workshop on data analysis using different software including Econometrics Modeling and Forecasting as well as Macroeconomic Diagnosis Workshops for staff of Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN). Data Analysis using STATA at University of Ilorin Consultancy Services Centre, The Christopher Kolade Centre for Research in Leadership & Ethics (CKCRLE), Lagos Business School, Centre for Econometric and Allied Research (CEAR), University of Ibadan, Department of Economics, University of Calabar, Nigeria, Department of Economics, Federal University Lafia, Nassarawa State, Nigeria; School of Business and Management Studies, Federal Polytechnic Offa; and Michael Imoudu National Institute of Labour Studies.

He is happily married to Lateefat Muhammed and blessed with five (5) beautiful children.
